Cannonball

Si, eso os he leido pero no he jugado a ninguno.

jajajaja!!   xDDDDD

Although there is Warhammer Quest(1995) we have inspired ourselves to, I think in a small way, Darklight is a category all on its own, not quite boardgame, not quite RPG.

Often when I see it, to me it is almost the "Core Box" of an RPG a bit like Fantasy Flight did years ago with their Warhammer Fantasy RP boxset, except Darklight does not have books and books of rules but  it is simple so it is easier for anyone to add on top of it. That said Darklight will take you 1-3 Dungeons before you get used to the rules, but once you do, games become a lot faster and people become very enthusiast to continue. A recent trend I have noticed is  that people really feel attached to their character because of how harsh the game can be and how hard is to find good loot.

Years ago before I started, a game like Darklght would have been my answer to all my gaming requests:

-An RPG which heavily relies on beautiful (dark and creepy) miniatures and positioning not just pen and paper.

-Easy to get in (but not too simple) and really deep and complex later on with a lot on your plate to keep track on for meta gaming.

-A sense of being in an open world RPG a bit like Skyrim with tons of side quests, activities and a main storyline.

-Repeat the same quest but it doesn't feel the same because almost every aspect of a quest is tweaked by random chances.

-A game that has a sense of being a videogame, playable solo or in multiplayer, meaning you can take your character with you anywhere and drop it in people's campaigns (and not having to restart from scratch each time).

-A game that heavily relies on generating unique stories and situation from the reaction of players not jsut from what the quest is about, example: A player goes to the marketplace, buys whatever they nned to, roll for event and finds out they lost some Crowns from their broken pouch. Another player goes to the market, but when he rolls for Events he finds money on the streets. We thought this was hilarious because the players came up with this scenario that while the first player lost money, the other found it, but neither of them knew about it, so is not like he could have asked for his money back! And this is just a small example of how many funny or interesting scenarios have occurred while playing.

Can't wait to hear what you guys will experience. Legendary Jousting knight stories, how you ended up buying a house and adopting 2-3 orphans, Courtesans desperately doing everything they can do win the heart of a noble, and so forth. :D

Thank you for your amazing explain.

I didn't know why Darklight is different of others DC but now I think that I have a idea more and less right about this board game.

To combine board game with RPG is fantastic for me and is probably the each board game that I was looking for now. Also I could see all you effort in the campaing.

Thank you for all.

PD: Sorry if my english is not very good.
