Oblivion. No se sabe si saldrá en castellano. Esta compañía no ha sacado por ahora ningún juego en castellano. Pero si te digo que en tienda, la versión RETAIL, será mucho más barata. No hay mas que ver juegos suyos como zpocalypse . Tendrá menos cosas , eso sí, pero ahora pagas unos 120€ y en tienda costará la mitad. Yo desde luego me voy a esperar . Los kickstarter , para mí, cada vez salen menos a cuenta.

Good evening.

Hi I'm Jeff Gracia, founder of Greenbrier Games. Thank you to everyone for your support in backing this project! We appreciate your enthusiasm and are always happy to hear your feedback. Recently, a lot of people have been asking about the newest miniatures.

First off, we're trying to provide a product that strikes an excellent balance between affordability, detail, durability, and the convenience of the end user. To that end, Folklore miniatures are being made of PVC 95-97.5 degrees plastic. Note that Yashima expansions were made of 97.5, while the base game was made with 95 degrees - a bit softer than we would like. Though not a very hard plastic, PVC 95 retains a high amount of detail from the original sculpt, and is also very durable and will hold up well under use. It is also the hardest plastic that can be used that allows for the minis to be pre-assembled during manufacturing. The technology being used to mold the miniatures is quite advanced - multiple part molds are used, allowing us to create complex and dynamic poses for the characters; having a semi hard plastic allows the miniature parts to release from the mold more easily and minimizes the number of individual parts of a mini that have to be made separately. This essentially frees our 3d artists to sculpt the minis as their creativity and talent wants the design to unfold, while also allowing the minis to be made up of only a few individual pieces that can be easily assembled during manufacturing. We're sculpting the figures in Zbrush and really excited to be working in a 35mm scale (Zpocalypse is closer to 28mm), which should allow for a lot of detail to really come through and give these minis a lot of presence on the table or shelf. We like minis with a little chunkiness to them, but at this scale we can also work with some more naturalistic proportions without risking limbs that appear too spindly. We're also working with 25 and 50mm circular bases, which give us a lot more room for posing compared to the Zpoc bases.

Some questions have been raised about a few of our most recent miniatures regarding the sculpting style and adherence to the concept art. First off, it should be noted that some of the artwork and minis shown towards the end of the campaign were placeholder images taken from some of our other projects, intended to provide a general idea of what the character would be like. Valdleany, for example, uses artwork for a character from our game Yashima, and was only meant to communicate that the character would be some kind of wizened crone; in the end, the mini was made to reflect that image while adhering to a more classic medieval witch vibe. Other characters , like Otherian and the Slayer, used miniatures from our earlier Fairytale sculpting project. Never was it our intention to simply recycle these minis. We chose to update the Otherian sculpt because he was the same sculpt from the Fairytale project. We remade the Slayer from scratch so that she had an action pose and clothing that better fit in with the heroes of Folklore, rather than the more pinup style reflected in the Fairytale project. We explained in the Kickstarter itself that the minis shown were from other projects and were subject to change, and we feel we’ve made a strong effort to make good on the final products.

As for the style of the recent minis, every sculpt in Folklore has been a collaboration between the same two staff artists, and we feel that they have maintained a consistent style across the project. It’s worth noting that - generally speaking - sculpting minis is almost like making impressionistic art - details need to be exaggerated greatly in order for them to read at such a small scale. Because of this, renders can be very misleading, since the mind's eye tends to interpret them as much larger figures, which makes theoversized details seem ridiculous. But when seen in the proper context, those details will seem perfectly reasonable, because often if they were any smaller, they wouldn't be noticeable at all.

The practicalities of molding also play a part, since details like drawn swords or drooling tongues need to be many times thicker than you would expect, or else they will be too fragile or bendable - but again when viewed in a tiny figure, their relative thickness will look correct (certainly better than a detail that comes across as spindly and breakable). There's also the fact that some details on renders are further exaggerated to try to compensate for the inevitable loss of detail that occurs when a model is 3d printed and molded for mass production. It's almost imperative that the sculpt look over-the-top so that details will come through correctly in the finished product, and there's no way other than experience to be able to guess what will be truly "correct" at the sculpting phase. This is especially true for things like faces - what would be the most subtle and delicate part of a sculpt in a large portrait bust, has to become grossly exaggerated in a miniature sculpt; eyes need to be enlarged and sunken back into the sockets, eyelashes and eyelids need to be massive and protruding, and expressions need to taken to the extreme - otherwise you can run the risk of ending up with a face that appears almost smooth and blank.

We want to apply all the lessons we have learned from previous projects towards making minis that are really worthy of the amazing illustrations from Jason Engle. Making miniatures is a very difficult challenge but we're striving to make sculpts that really work at this scale and are trying to push what we can do in this medium.

All that being, said we appreciate all your feedback and have made some modifications as you can see in the below images.

Below are some shots from a test print we have down with Shapeways new material. For final product we will use a higher end 3d printer to create our masters. These photos were taken with an Iphone 6 on a tri-pod. Please let us know how they look. Don't worry - we will get a professional camera when it comes time to take pictures of the master models.ç











 Additionally, we read your feedback about the translucent ghost miniatures. We will be investigating color possibilities.
