Hi Everyone, time for me to say a few words.- so many broken minis! No, not really. Thousands of packages have arrived and we have a few games with miniatures detached from the base, and two or three where minis are "broken" at the parts where they are glued together. Not many. There will always be some. reagardless what one does.- weird bases Not weird at all, but a different plastic. PVC is not flat when the diameter of a base becomes too large, so we needed to go for hard plastic for the bases. Look at the player characters - those are one piece with a PVC base. Just the big ones cannot be made that way, the base would warp.- gluing All large minis are made from several parts. They are glued together in China. The trick is to use enough glue so they don't get detached, but not too much so the glue would spill out somewhere. The balance is difficult. Seems like it was not always perfectly hit. A small drop of glue will fix that.Generally, the way the minis are packed inside a custom made vacuum tray inside a cardboard box should protect them from harm. I don't want to imagine what kind of treatment a package has received when some minis are actually broken *inside* all that protection. One can never have anything absolutely "mailman-safe", I guess. If you have bend parts, I am sure all know by now that you can fix that with hot water. The exception are the Demon-weapon-thingie, Smaug's hammer and the Gargoyle's axe (and maybe another part or two). Those are also made from hard plastic or they would all point earthward. Long things in PVC usually succumb to gravity.Cheers Frank Jaeger Ludo Fact
