Mayor tirada igual a menores costes.
Salutations fellow Accursed! It has been a while since we have given any updates from DIG of any kind and so in the spirit of showing you a sign of life on our end we wanted to let you know what's brewing at DIG.We have been working hard on creating the world of our next project - Darklight's spiritual successor, which has not yet been announced officially nor does it have its own page yet. As a one man team (so far) I have been working hard on chiselling away at all aspects of this new game, the Lore, Design and Art are all areas which I have been equally focusing on these past few years with every spare moment I can find. I want to showcase each aspect of creativity at the time to really illustrate the strong drive behind this project, but rather than overwhelming you with too many details as of now, I am just going to show you one of my latest prototype pieces and what does this represent. When designing this map tile, my goal was to get it as best as I possibly can without cutting corners, and using only "traditional" digital painting methods without the aid of 3D or copy/paste shortcuts, all you see here (excluding the linework), is done with a free hand because this is how much I love what I do, and I believe only this way I can really communicate this passion and dedication. This one piece (of MANY), was a lot of really hard work to get just right, and I am not talking only about the rendering part, but creating a fitting architecture and a narrative just by looking at it. By knowing the lore, you'd be able to find references of at least 2 cultural markers of importance here, and having a world strong enough to support this kind of visual narrative is a personal achievement of which I am quite proud of. I want you to be able to look at this as both a game piece and a story telling device. The reason why I am telling you this is to help you understand the care that goes into each little part of this game, from its design to its art, each unique mould line, cobweb, stone crack, needs to have logic, not just artistic flare, so as much as a little logo over a barrel has to be related to make real sense for the lore, the game design is being crafted with the same attention to detail. It is a long road, but one which I hope to soon share with you all.-MauroStay tuned for more news!
