No he podido mirarlo detenidamente porque llevo varios días fuera.

Hi @Eskizofrenia,

We do not plan to have a Spanish edition at this moment. However, we keep talking with many publishers in different regions. Let's share this campaign with your community to show the potential of Terrorscape to the publishers! :D

1. Card Drawing Rules of the Killer

The old version in the samples:

The Killer draw 2 cards at the beginning of their turn, and draw 1 more card if they don't find a Survivor at the end of the turn. If they find the Survivor(s) and at least one Survivor defends successfully, the Killer will be enraged and draw 4 extra cards.

The new version:

The Killer won't draw cards at the beginning of their turn. They ALWAYS draw 3 cards at the end of the turn. When a Survivor defends successfully, the Killer will discard 2 extra cards from the deck, to speed up their level up.

Reason for the changes:

There are two main reasons behind this modification. The first would be to simplify the turn structure of the Killer. The original design was meant to perfectly balance the situation between two sides- A killer draws 3 cards if they failed to find someone (they have no progress on the main objective), draws 2 cards if they hit someone (draw less because they gain a great process, and we have to give a little benefit to the Survivors), and draw 6 cards if they found someone but couldn't damage them. (Draw the most cards as the Survivors are using defend strategy and the Killer has to level up to counter it) The concept sounds quite complicated but as far as we tested the game, it works very well. However, we also found that the structure is a little bit clumsy and may confuse some players. Therefore, simplifying it might be a good direction.

Then we come to the downtime. No one likes long downtime. And by changing the timing of draw cards to the end of the turn, the Killer can read all the cards and plan for the next turn at the Survivor's turn. And act quickly at their turn.

For these two reasons, we started to develop the new structure and sacrifice a tiny portion of balancing. We and our playtesters found that the new version is more streamlined and the balance is still decent.

2. Big Changes on the Butcher

We envision the Butcher as the simplest Killer for beginners to start with while he can be still powerful, unique, and fun to play. But in the old version, he was just simple and powerful. The characteristic and replayability are not enough, at least for me, and for some playtesters. We really want the Butcher as a fun Killer for both beginners and experienced players, so the reworks began.

Reviving Chainsaw

From "FAST: +2 strength this turn, and Fear within 1 range" to "SPECIAL: Fear within 1 range, Move x0-1, and damage all survivors at current location"

The chainsaw is the signature of the Butcher. The old version chainsaw just doesn't have enough presence on the table. The new version is a little bit harder to use, but could directly damage a group of Survivors if they dare to stay near you. It greatly enhances the powerful and reckless image of the Butcher.

-------

The other big characteristic of the Butcher is the ability to block doors. As to strengthen his uniqueness, we boost his blocking ability and further reduce his speed and searching ability.

Madness and STAYYYY!

Madness

From "SPECIAL: Move x1, Search, Move x1, Search" to "FAST: Block x1, +2 strength this turn"

STAYYYY!

From "FAST: Block x1-2" to "SLOW: Block all doors in your location"

The new version of "STAYYYY!" is a 4-cost card and the ability is very crazy! What we love is it's very simple to use, but only experienced players can use it at the perfect moment and location to unleash its full potential. The new card "Madness" is kind of a hybrid of the old version "STAYYYY!" and the temporary +2  strength of the old version "Reviving Chainsaw".

-------

We need a highlight moment, a dramatic turning point for the Butcher! Something like the "Life Drain" of the Spectre and "Death Blossom"(previously named Swift Slaughter) of the Murderer. So now we have the new "Brutal Rage" of the Butcher that can perfectly represent his rage.

Brutal Rage

From "FAST: +1 strength this turn, Move x1, Search" to "Move x1-2, Search (If no survivors were found AND a block token was removed, repeat this.)"

With the new ultimate skill, the Butcher is able to search up to 8 locations in one turn! It is a very powerful addition to the 6-8 strength killer but it requires setup of the blocking network in the first half of the game. Moreover, the card will sacrifice multiple blocks and free the ways for the Survivors. In the playtests, we found that the new "Brutal Rage" becomes one of the favourite cards of players, and provides outstanding strategy depth.

-------

We also modified the Level 4 ability of the Butcher! (Yes, +1 Strength in end-game stages is not satisfying)

3. Small changes on the Spectre and the Murderer

The changes for the Spectre and the Murderer are small. The strength of the Spectre is reduced to 2 as we want to further suppress the threat of her normal attack.

Regarding our ambush master, the Murderer, his "Stalk" (previously named Surveillance) is upgraded to a hybrid card. Now it can be used as a +1 strength attack card as well. We also adjusted his Level 4 ability and the composition of his deck. The new Murderer is now a bit more dangerous in the early game if the player could manage the cards on hand well, and the "Stalk" is no longer always the first option to discard.

The above changes are not all! We have also changed a couple of things in the base game including item card balance, wordings and the quality of components. We believe Terrorscape will be much more awesome than the sample version! And with the unlocked and upcoming stretch goals, it can be upgraded to a whole new level of game experience. I would like to take this opportunity to give a big thank you to all playtesters, reviewers and backers. Your feedback and support, are significant to the development of Terrorscape!
