Hi,I am back from New York Toy Fair (just to go out again tomorrow to Festival de Jeux de Cannes). Steamforged exhibited the game at the show along with Guild ball, of course. But those were not the most important talks for me, I have to think about stuff that comes to Kickstarter later this year and other projects that I wish were as far advanced as this one.But one piece of information I do have: Containers are arriving in the US - current count: 3 - and Germany, too. Most of the first box with the large miniatures are already here which means we have received the furst two containers while I was gone. The next one will have the second box with the smaller miniatures and all the dice, and then there are two more coming. All is looking good right now.I saw some of your raised questions about the translations: Cards have been printed, yes, all done. The languages you mentioned are, of course, correct. In each set there are 4 decks which are completely language independent (note: card names and specific termini have not been translated, so the "Dancer" is still the "Dancer" and not the "Tänzer" or something even worse - you can see that in the Youtube-Video. Since I am coming from a Magic: The Gathering background I think that it is a good idea not to translate the card titles as I have lived through many sets of MtG that leaned to the absurd; not to point fingers at the translators who almost all the time did an outstanding job, but some things in German just don't sound cool). Two decks are language dependent. Those are the two with the flag on top. For the people who had to pack the cards and for the assembly in the factories in Germany and the US we need something to easily identify the language. That extra card on top of the language dependent decks was our solution for the problem. As for the German translation, I can vouch for the text on the cards. I cannot guarantee that there is absolutely no mistake on any, but I did read all German cards and think they are very good. Sure, "game play German" as I call text that consists of game mechanical templating to make things easier, but very comprehensible.Game box: Like it or not, you'll have to live with it. That ship has sailed, everything is in print. Apart from that I think it is a minor thing. If SFG thinks it is a good idea to do it like that, or maybe Bandai Namco did not approved abything else, this is how it will be. So I suggest a different approach. Like: "Look how great the main image on the front is! Iconic, recognizable, menacing. And the best thing is you have him on the sides, too! How cool is that?" Over and out!Frank Jaeger LUDO FACT GmbH
Yes, the cards are linen finish, black core playing card material. The good stuff.Player boards will be punched out to put the cubes in so they do not shift. As far as I remember.Dice: I have no idea...
@ Mil_k I have a card in my hand that has the German termini "Lebenspunkte" ("life points") and "Ausdauer" (probably "endurance") written on it. While I cannot say for sure that the words you inquired about are translated, I'd say there is a pretty good chance that they are. Only the cards do not contain those words so I cannot vouch for it, but I do not have a print out of the player mats handy.Thank you for helping, Peer.By the way: I am off to Cannes Games Festival and will not be online for a few days.Cheers Frank Jaeger LUDO FACT
